surface rust repair.

Post by BrettZ »

So I have 2 small rock chips that have rusted (bought the car that way) and I'd like to nip it in the bud while its manageable.Planning on sanding the surrounding areas with sand paper to remove the rust. Not sure how deep I'll have to go. Then applying touchup primer, base coat, and clear coat.I've never done anything like this before and I'm looking for any tips. Here are the spots. What do you guys think?

That kit looks perfect! But it doesn't include a primer. Do I need one?

No- everything you need is included in the kit. I repaired my car early last fall and it is holding up really well, including going thru the bad NE Ohio weather last winter!
