its hard to say. if he did rape her, he should fry. if he didnt, then thats too bad, but he shouldnt of been there in the first place. i hope this will make people realize that by puting yourself in a compromising situation, your asking for negative repercussions, that goes for men and women. by no means am i saying that if she did get raped that she deserved it, but what was she thinkin???? kolby wanted company so he could discuss the war with her cause he thought she looked interesting?? and what was kolby thinkin? hes a married man and a public figure, he is just asking for a possiable false accusation. what i think is pathetic is how alot of people are turning it in a race case. i am predicting that he'll get off scotch free. its his word vs hers, but hes got the money. hopefully though, the truth comes out and justice will prevail.

I don't think he rapped her, but I don't belive he was that stupid to begin with. If a girl comes up to your room in the middle of the night with room service (which was not part of her assigned duties, she wasn't even supposed to be working!!!!), you take the food and close the door in her face!!! It appears that she was not a stable person before this occured and it appears that her credability will cause a not guily verdict. Its a shame for the three parties involved, Kobe, the accuser and Kobe's wife (even though she just won everything that belongs to him)

I don't think that Kobe raped her, but like everyone esle is saying, he shouldn't have ever put himself in that kind of situation anyway. Kobe is one of the most profitable and well known men in the sports industry. People that take what they have for granted usually lose what is most dear to them in the long run!Shadow Realm

Don't be that neive. These women think of these guys as a payday. If they get lucky enough to get pregnant all they see are dollar signs. then you have the really twisted ones that cry rape for an even bigger pay day. (I'm not saying that this particular victim did that the evidence will speak for itself).

quote:Well, the fact the guy is married means he should of not did it.... It makes men look bad.[QUOTE]To be honest, if a porn star or a really hot girl was on me bumping and grinding nude, I would be tempted and would be a little excited in the pants like most men, but I would not do anything because I am in a committed relationship. If you are single it is different, but trust is something I value. Same as honesty. I agree with you 100%. If my "fantasy" perfect 10 came up to me I wouldn't do anything either. I have already found my perfect 10

I know what you mean. I took a vow that went like this:"'Till death do us part"Not one that said:"'Till death do us part, or until a really hot woman walks into my hotel room."No reason I can think of would make me break my word.

Because Katelyn Faber (the accuser) didn't want to go through a criminal trial. She still has a civil suit against him.

How is it HIS fault? I hope the civil suit crashes and burns for her as well! Absolutely disgusting.

She still has a civil suit against him.Ultimately, whether he did or didn't rape her, this case has done a great deal of damage to rape victims and has angered me from the perspective of being a rape victim myself. I can't help but find myself wondering if he really did do it or if it was a situation where he r family found out and decided to go after him. Sometimes girls that age lie (like that is news to anyone out here) to get out of something they did. I have found myself wondering if she told her parents that he raped her, never expecting it to blow up like it did. She may have thought they would let it slip away quietly, who knows. However, if she unjustly accussed him, then she should be punished severely for her accusations. If he did rape her, then he shold be punished. In my eyes, the fact that she filed a civil suit for the $$$ makes me question if it really did happen. Most rape victims that I met in my support group wanted their attacker prosecuted, no matter what the cost. I did.So now, women who come after will probably hesitate about reporting rape, I would have, and that just makes me mad.Sorry to rant on, I am just mad at this whole case and the damage it has done, in more ways than one.Quote, originally posted by Psychobroker »Exactly...He's only "off the hook" because he's innocent. Where she screwed up was in the middle of it all filing the civil suit and, not many rape victims I have known, have gone from being raped to having (removed) with another guy within a day of the rape.Your points are excellent.

She still wants money, but doesn't want to have to go back to court for it, and Kobe just wants her out of his life. Soooo...she's money hungry AND lazy Seriously though, an out of court settlement would still mean $$ being shelled out by Kobe Now that the criminal case has been dropped, I'd bring a countersuit alleging personal injury (defamation!). Just look at all the endorsements he lost because of her!!!
