Replacement AC Compressor?

Has anyone purchased a used AC compressor from one of the ebay stores? Good/bad experience? Some say limited warranty; haven't read the fine print yet. Don't have the cash for a new or rebuilt unit.Tips anyone?Thanks,DÂ²

I have seen sellers on eBay that just part out new cars. They buy and then part out new cars. Perhaps that would be a good source.
