Bought my first Vibe/New Here

Post by chefdrew »

Hey all,Just bought a 2004 Vibe with only 41,600 miles on it. I was wanting to get into one for a while and I found a deal I could not pass up. Sold a 2003 G35 for 11K and bought the 2004 Vibe for 5K, not bad Anyway, just thought I would introduce myself...

Yes, it was someone's Gma's who passed away, sadly. She obviously didn't drive a whole lot. The carfax checked out good and my mechanic said it was well taken care of. To tell you the truth, I really do not miss the G like I thought I would. I like my new car

So the dent on the back was big enough to talk him down on the price, he was asking 7k but talked him down to 5k. After a few days I took the inside panel off of the hatchback, popped the dent out and put some touch-up paint on it. There is still a small dent but it looks good enough to me. The car is nothing special, good condition and better on gas then the G35, plus cheaper to maintain. I did this because I am trying to get completely out of debt, not too much more to go.Anyway, here are 2 pictures, one of the dent and the other of the car...

From that POV, your car could easily be our car... when we bought it back in December!! (Forgive the crappy looking dealership picture.)It looks a bit different now though.... and I'm guessing too that yours is an automatic while ours... a 5sp.Welcome aboard, ChefDrew!!What in the food world is your specialty?

Not bad!! A few love-taps with a hammer and dolly should clean up the rest of it around the licence plate indent. But use some old rags and gentle taps so as not to disturb the factory paint any more than necessary. Ease it back into place, don't force it.

Yes it is an automatic. As for the cooking, well I guess it's a little of this and a little of that:)Spend more of my time as a director now and less time over the stock pots If I were to say my style now...I would lean more toward making fresh ingredient meals, that are good for you, and at the same time still taste good.
