I have blower motor noise when the A/C is on , or fan only setting. The noise does not happen when the heat is on. The noise is like a card on a bicycle wheel. The dealership put a new cabin filter in two days ago. The noise of course gets louder the higher the fan goes. I took the cabin filter out again, and found minute parts of rubber like an animal had been in there building a nest. I do live very close to the woods here in Missouri, so having an animal make a nest in the engine compartment is possible. But how can it get into the blower motor area? Is this a blower motor problem also. I have read alot about the motors being replaced here on this website. Evidently the motors don't last long, I have 63,000 miles on this 2007 car. Any info would be apprecaited before I buy a new fan motor, and attempt an install.
CitoDid you resolve your problem yet? I just changed my cabin filter and now am having the same problem. The old filter was FILTHY I was thinking maybe something just loosened and will settle in time.
I also stumbled across this thread while searching for an answer and wonder if you solved your problem.I have a similar problem I noticed after replacing the cabin air filter. The blower motor in my vibe vibrates....it can be heard more than felt, but it can be felt by placing your hand below the glovebox. Instead of just hearing the air blowing out of the vents, I also here a noticeable "BR_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R_R" when the motoris on speeds 3 and 4.Thanks,
