05/06 TRD S/C is ready

Post by bladez718 »

The TRD Supercharger is now an option for 05/06 Corolla and Matrix. This will also work on 1zffe pontiac Vibes. There WAS two things stopping you before:1. The Toyota Tuning box (TRD ECU) is not compatible, and…2. Your Drive By Wire Throttle Body does not fit on the TRD supercharger and you cannot switch your throttle body (TB) for one from another application. Well, if you want to run the TRD SC, the tuning issue (see 1 above) is a non issue as you can run an Greddy Emanage for your extra fuel and tuning needs, and another company called Split Second also makes a similar unit that words great on this application. That only leaves the issue of your TB not fitting,… and to that end there is a solution. Yes, this will work for both AUTO and MANUAL cars. Solution: I just made my first batch (of 10) adapter plates, which bolt onto the SC and essentially get sandwiched between the TB and the TRD SC. It is a very clean, one piece plate which is fully haste free and fits great. I already sent out my first one to Bladez718 this morning (hopefully for quick install, review, and pics, and thanks again Bledez, for sharing with me the common need for this piece, and for letting me use your TB for prototyping). Below are some pics of the unit used on my TRD Supercharger on my MR2 Spyder. I had the same issue of a drive by wire TB, and had to have this plate to fit my TB. Your plate is slightly different, but very similar. It rotates the TB ever so slightly and looks great. All plates are CNC milled, made of aircraft aluminum, well. with plenty of meat where necessary, but made to be as minimal in weight as I have had mine for many months, raced at Willow springs 3 times and Button Willow (tomorrow) on this item, and there is zero wear,… so it will last you.. Upon install, everything you need is included except copper liquid gasket ($4.99 at autozone for a tube, sufficient to install 100 plates). You simply wipe a thin (very thin as not much is needed and you don’t want it to much out) layer on the back of your TB, and again a layer on the SC. Really simple. First secure the plate to the SC, then thread in the studs, slide on the TB and tighten down. This is like a gasket, but not needed Pure cake. The first batch of 10 will be going to the first 10 who signed up on the corolla board,… but for my next batch I would like to start another signup list of all who are interested… Cost: The adapter plates, with all necessary hardware are $150 each, $167 shipped/paid by paypal (to lower 48 states). Shipping to HI or outside the US maybe extra, but not much. Local pickup is an option in the 91344 area code. To contact me, please either post here or email me. You can also send the paypal payment to estranho@aol.com (for some reason, I can never get a 9thgencorolla username?) If you are on the Corolla list and in the first 10, you may sent payment and expect prompt shipment. Jarett.(moderators, I hope this post is Kosher, if its not, please let me know what I must to do make it so). The other will have to wait. Let's please stay with the Topic guys. All the Hardwork is done. I want to thanks Carver for his work. I never gave up on the 05's.. The main job of the adapter is so that the trd sc will fit our new tb. The rest is up to emanage and split second. More pics will be posted later on.STICKY THIS?
