lost PS3 power cable

To make a long story short I lost the AC power cable to kids' PS3. I am trying to obtain one as simply and as cheaply as possible. Is it actually just the same as a power cable used for most any computer? So is the brick built into the console?

I have one.For sure generous but if the power cord is simply a generic power cord which can be used for a computer I can easily get one of those. The PS3 we have is from December 08 as I recall...so not the Slim.

I lost mine as well. It's just a standard cable like you would find for a computer tower or monitor. There's no brick.
