blend door problem

Post by mike0179 »

Hello everyone,Today on the way to work a loud clicking sound started coming from the glove box area. I noticed that it would stop when I pressed the button that switches from fresh air to inside air. Im guessing the blend door is sticking. Has anyone ran into this problem before? Can I fx it myself? thanks mike

This seems to be about the most common part failure - assume it is also used in the Corollas. One would think Toyota would have made changes long ago, but I guess they need something to keep their mechanics busy (aside from the recall work).
