Hey all. im new. i'm dave from columbus, oh. im 18 and my vibe's pretty stock. jus replaced my filter with a K & N. i have an 03 GT basically jus wanna say hey everyone.

now that i think about it, im an idiot. i havn't taken a single pic of my vibe since i bought it, blew up the motor, didnt have it for 3 weeks, then got it back lol. Dave Gill Pontiac said the blowing up part wasn't my fault lol. timing jumped and floated the valves. crazy **** going into 3rd gear lol.

actually happened 4 days after i bought it. damn automatic rental cars got old after a while. there no 6000RPM lift in a nissan sentra or a taurus ses. especially not in a dodge caravan lol

4 days?! That's really too bad. I know what you mean about the other cars though, I can't get used to driving anything else now. It just feels weird!

Man that's a rough way to start out! Sounds like you got a bad break there. I'm glad to hear they are working it out for you though. Do you have the Vibe back now?

i didnt have it for most of may but its back now thankfully. everything was warenty. replaced the entire motor lol, clutch, pressure plate, n they broke my windshield so that was also replaced lol. so my car that had 4911 miles when i purchased it is now brand new basically got to test drive for a thousand miles before i bought it haha

Welcome to the boards...and OUCH, that sucks That reminds me of my ordeal. Two blocks from my parents house in Oxnard, CA at 11pm, a jet black, mint cond. '78 dodge charger driving w/o his headlights plowed into my Vibe while I was making a left at a green light only 3 days after taking delivery...Bunnin GMC/Pontiac (Oxnard) had it for SEVEN WEEKS (yes!!! seven (7)) making front-end repairs that added up to $10k for parts + labor. The only "mechanical" part to be replaced was the radiator.On top of this, someone in a red car swiped my rear passenger side bumper (red paint) earlier that day while it was parked outside of a local pizzeria, which had me pissed the entire night, right up until the accident.Oh, because the accident occured at 11pm, Bunnin was closed and the damned security guard wouldn't allow me to drop it off inside, so I had to dump it as close to the dealership gate as possible. This gate was in their driveway and easily 7ft from the street. About 4 weeks into the repair/wait for parts, they told me that someone must have tried to break into my car the night I dropped it off, causing damage to the interior (see attachment). At first, Mr. Bunnin himself said he wasn't liable and wouldn't pay because it wasn't on his property (I questioned this vehemently, but didn't look up the zoning map for Oxnard, CA). I convinced them to pay at least half, so in the end I was $565 out of pocket (deductible + interior repair) only 3 days removed from being out $1500 for my DP.The coup de gras...when I arrived to pick up my BRAND NEW Vibe GT w/ only 250 miles on it, it didn't have the friggin' shift nob! And no one felt the need to tell me it was missing! I had to find the manager and yell him into submission to get me a new one free of charge, but I had to drive home (70 mi from Oxnard) and for another two weeks w/o a shift nob. Supposedly, there were none in CA, nor could they give me one from the lot. According to them, they didn't have any GT's on the lot, which was a lie because I checked out the three or four they had when I dropped the car off. I can understand not being able to yank a shift nob out of a floor model, but there weren't any in ALL of CA?? I had to wait two weeks for the UPS delivery, because according to them, FedEx couldn't ship it directly to me, nor could they just ship it to my local dealership. I had to wait for FedEx to ship it to Bunnin, and Bunnin UPS it to me. My apologies for the rant and thread hijack, but I'm fairly new as well and haven't had the chance to vent my story to the board. Peace and post some pics. EDIT: You didn't say you had an Envy, I think I confused you with another thread lol -PsychoPS The moral of the story? NEVER BUY FROM BUNNIN GMC/PONTIAC IN OXNARD, CA! Thankfully, I bought my car from Penninsula Pontiac in TOrrance, CA...they are awesome
