From reading previous post about this problem it seems a new PCM is in order. Is this something I can replace myself or does a dealer have to do some kind reprograming with the new module? I found some new PCM's at GM direct parts website but they listed several different PCM's how do I know which one I need? Does anyone have the part number for this?Any info would be helpful.
It's an expensive guess to go this route. It may pay you to spring a few bucks at the dealership to verify the problem first. If it is the PCM, well you spent an extra $100. If it isn't, well you just saved MANY 100's of $$'s.I believe that It's under the front seat, just take a look and see what numbers are on it, order accordingly.Dave
