NEW MEMBER

Post by REDHOTROB »

Well, I am a new member here from London Ontario. I had to become a little more practical in my life and traded in my Mustang GT for a 2010 Base Vibe. Unfortunately i don't have pictures of the Vibe but I think everyone knows what a Base 1.8L 5Spd RED HOT 2010 Vibe with a roof rack, power options and sunroof looks like. Looking forward to learning more about the Vibe. Had to post a Pick of the Mustang because in another thread Bull said I would get tracked down if I didn't post pictures of both rides. Cheers!Rob.

Welcome Also I was about to comment that the newer Vibes did not come with the sunroof option on the 1.8L base models.... BUT that was only for the 2009 model year. Pontiac realized that several customers wanted those options on ANY trim level so they made it available on ALL 2010 models. So you actually have a rare make of the Vibe! Enjoy the ride and post pics when you get around to it

Thank you for the comments on the Mustang. I miss it but the Vibe is much more useful. It's like a pick up truck with excellent fuel economy. It won't do 13 second 1/4 miles but It's fun! I will have to take a picture when I get home next week. The person parked beside me in my condo plex bought a Black Base vibe.

Not that it makes a difference, but I nearly had my tails taped off just as I read this! Might be useful to know when someone shouts to me at a light about "murder" with the wife riding in the car!

It's ok, the Stang wasn't a convertible! Had it been so then much sympathy would have been heaped upon you!If a car is offered as a convertible.......spend the extra coin and buy it is my motto!Welcome to Genvibe! You will come to love your car as the months tick away.Dave

Going to keep the vibe fairly practical. Just enhance the looks. Rims, tint, lowered ETC. It's actually nice to have a quiet car that can get double digit MPG driving in the city. HAHA I must comment though, from what I have seen on this forum thus far this is by far the friendliest Automotive forum I have been on. I'm used to the egotistical V8 forums grunt... This is a welcome change, Looking forward to hanging around.Cheers!

Mustang's a great car, especially one that has been "murdered"... but with a V8, they also tend to "murder" your wallet right back each time you stop for fuel. Your Vibe will allow your wallet to live a little "richer" life. Plus, you're already getting to know how much more usable these cars are. Good move! Welcome to the Vibe forum, and as you can see, we do like pictures.

Welcome fellow Ontarian (Toronto reporting in). Vibes are awesome. welcome to the club. while the car might not be as peppy as the mustang, you'll grow to love it for it's comfort, convenience and adaptability.

It certainly is. I was doing some research and think i have decided on 2000+ Celica GT rims. Partly because I have always liked them and partly because if you find a set they are pretty reasonable. Never seen them on a Vibe but think they would look pretty sweet. I told myself I would leave this vehicle stock and just use it as is but I see that won't be the case. LOL

Sad as it is to say I lost most of my Mustang photos when my computer crashed. It was a fun car with basic bolt ons. Cai, 75mm throttle body, C&L Upper plenum, Under drive pullies, Magnaflow catted X pipe to a Flowmaster Catback, B&M shifter and an SCT tune. Best bang for the buck mod though, 4.10 gears out back from the stock 3.27's. The vibe is equally as fun though just in a whole different respect.

Oh ya It was a fun car, 1st gear was useless, I often left the light in second, sometimes third. HAHA As much fun as dry pavement donuts are and feeling tire companies tug at your wallet the Vibe is like a Covered go-cart. It's a blast and my girlfriend hasn't stopped buggin me about getting old and practical. I'll post picks up when I find the camera. This forum is entertainin and a great way to pass the time at work. HAHA
