If you are going new, and not with KeithVibe's, your last two links direct to short-ram intakes. Not cold air intakes. Short rams are much more, well... short. They draw warmer air being that the intake/filter is still within the engine bay (assuming you don't have a hood w/ram air from the outside), but they do cost less. Cold air intakes end up drawing in much cooler air from behind the wheel well (the pipe is longer and snakes down below the engine, close to the battery). $225 for short seems to be about right for new, but I am strictly speaking from a shopper perspective. This site has educated me 10-fold since 2006, but I have yet to pull the trigger on one of these babies.
I'm in a similar situation. I have an '05 Vibe AWD, and I'm considering a CAI. I'm looking at the Injen RD2082P.Here's an Amazon link for reference, although I can get it cheaper elsewhere.http://www.amazon.com/Injen-Te...d=001Will this work? Would I need to buy anything else? Thanks!
It says that it will fit, I hope that it would for sure though before i buy it. Also is installing something easy or would i wanna get a professional to do it?
it's pretty easy. toughest part is getting the filter screwed on. it's a tight fit behind the fog lamps but you can get in there. take out the 2 screws and clips underneath and then move the liner down so you can get your hand and the filter in there, then just tighten the clamp.
