8.1 Rods and Pistons

Post by TheDude »

I wish i had the cash for these, so i could start up my turbo run on the 2zz, but i gotta get my sound system done first. There is only 2 more days left on this, i'd love it if someone here got themhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2424376507&category=33623

I'd be very careful buying a crucial engine component, pistons and rods, off ebay, from a seller who has no feedback rating at this point in time.Just my $0.02.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

nah that looks pretty legit...pretty good. If i put in these pistons and lowered compression like that without a turbo i wonder how much hp id lose...

I think it could only be that much on a V-8. I've seen numbers more like 3-4% per ratio, and smaller gains as you get above ~ 10:1.

>rods are made of 4340 aluminum Those are stock rods in the pic, which are most definitely not aluminum (or an upgrade). Be careful out there guys.
