Some pictures of my car details (pics heavy)

Post by 1SC »

Some members on here requested that I post pictures of the cars I detail during week-ends. In this thread, I'll post a few of my latest details. Remember that I do it "on the side" after my 40 hours a week job. I like doing this and it gives a little extra money. I¡¦ll begin with the truck I did on Friday June 4th. It¡¦s a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab. This one truly owns the title of an "extreme make over". It is used as a delivery truck for a local bakery. Only 17 months old and already 148 000 km on the clock. Before :Doesn¡¦t look too bad from this angle. Wrong !!!The bluish stains on the sides are from the trailer that is attached to a fifthwheel. They were a pain to remove. The interior was bad, but honestly I expected it to be worst. After :Total time : 5 hours.I was told not to go crazy on the inside.Stains removed. I had to use my stronger compound to make them disappear. Some more to follow.

That's a lot of polishing...I'm guessing that you only get 1 day of freedom per week then.

Well done! I was especially impressed with the truck. Now, how long will that bakery keep it in that condition?! I have a feeling you'll have repeat customers there...

I didn't know that those stains would be so hard so remove.I hope that those customers come back, this would mean that I do a good job.

Awesome work, Patrick! Looks like you take a lot of pride in your work, and it shows. It must be satisfying to take something that looks like crap and make it look beautiful. So, when did you say you were going to be in my area....

Thanks BlueCrush ! Yes it's really satisfying to see before/after of each car.Sometimes I am too perfectionnist and do work that the custumer didn't even asked for. I know I shouldn't but... well...I have for more than a few hundreds dollars worth of car detailing products.I've been working very hard for the last 5 years to build my name and this year it pays good. I have had about 2 cars scheduled per week-end since the end of April. And sorry, I only work at home. I am no mobile detailer.

Seriously impressive. The interior of that Ford Ranger you recently posted, with the dirt-encrusted mats, the end results were amazing. Keep it up. You're on a roll this year!
