Fuel Tank Protector Plate Loose.

Did anyone experience the problem I just had. There is a protector plate under the fuel tank. The front 3 screws attache to the frame. The back is bolted to a piece of plastic attached to the fuel tank. The stud pulled out and the plate is flapping in the breeze. I don't know if the plastic piece on the tank can be replaced. No way am I springing for a new tank.

I know that this is an old message, but mine broke just yesterday. Looking at a Vibe manual, it appears the mount for the fuel tank protector that broke is mounted to the fuel strap. The rust protection of this vehicle, I must say, is unimpressive.I now must try to locate one of these parts.
