Installing Curt 56035 Wiring Harness

Post by tonyn1 »

I just bought a Curt 56035 wiring harness for my 09 AWD and went to install it. I've removed the small access panels and the D-rings plus the bolts holding the clips at the top as per the instructions. The main back panels are still firmly in place, however, and don't seem to want to move. How do I remove the panels to gain access to the wiring. I don't want to force anything until I know what I'm dealing with. Do I need to remove something more?

You'll have to remove all of the floor pieces, the trays underneath, and the trim piece across the bottom of the hatch opening. You should then be able to pull them loose from the sides of the car and separate them from the upper panels.
