HELP!!! big paint problem

Post by AWDBLACKVIBE »

Over labor day weekend my family decided to paint our house. We rented a sprayer and we were albe to paint the whole house in a weekend. Then, this morning I go out to my car and it looks kinda dusty. It is an abyss vibe, so it always looks a little dirty. as a rubbed the side i noticed taht it did not come off. It turns out that my dad did not realize the amount of overspray that was coming from the spray gun. My vibe is now black with white specs. I have no idea howe to get it off, I tried running it through a car wash, and that just mad it standout even more. Thanks

Sorry to hear about this one. Have you ever used one of those clay bar paint cleaners? It claims to handle things like "overspray" but I haven't used it for that purpose. I would try gentle things first and then get more aggressive as the situation requires.Good luck,Chris

You might also want to first try a Cleaner Wax type product. This type of wax contains additives that help in removing foreign objects (like paint spray, depending on thickness) from the surface. Please let us know what you try and what works for you.
