2004 $$ Big Increase!!??

I went saw the new 2004 in Alhambra, CA yesterday. Car looks great but I was shocked at the big increase in price. I am not certain about the amount, but it seemed to me that the car went up about $2,000 for basically the SAME features! Does anyone know if this increase is the same in other parts of the country?Thanks!

Not sure dude... STILL haven't seen any 04 models in the garden state yet...When I do spot one, I'll take a looky at the sticker and report back...Though I don't really know what I paid for mine, so I won't be able to know for sure if there was, in fact an increase.Maybe I'll "build" one on pontiac.com and compare that way...Since they still only let you build an 03, despite the fact they are already into the new model year. Go figure...

Well..I just bought my Lava GT for around $22,800 (Invoice, with Power Pack, 17" Rims, DVD, Security). I was thinking about waiting for the '04's, but I wanted the 0.0% financing, and from what I could tell, the only major change was the XM reciever, which I have anyway. Though I would like the newer gauges. Although it is wierd that the GT lost 7 hp on the new model year..

The base price changed only about 200-300 and the M&T package went from 850 to 1150. If you get the Power group and the M&T package you'll recieve a 700 discount from GM. There is a 1000 rebate plus loyalty of 750-1000 plus Non-GM car 500: Total is 2500 in possible rebates...The prices os the Vibes went up about 500 or so on a pretty nicely equipped one.Shadow Realm

The Base Price did not increase between the end of 2003 and the 2004s.Moon & Tunes Group went up $325 to a price of $850Power Group went up $125 to a price of $750DVD Nav System went up $50Automatic transmission is up $3517" Wheels and Tires went up $40 on GT and $25 on BaseSecurity Sytem and Side Bags have been combined into a new group for $100 less then 2003.

What is the qualification for the Loyalty rebate; non-GM rebate. I sloyaty having a GM car? Non-GM rebate not having a GM car? Why is loyalty $750 to $1,000? What determines if youi get $750 or $1,000. I have a GM car and a DC Car, so I get both????

On the 2003 I bought there was a $400 Automatic Tranmisison discount but if you got the moons & tunes with AT you only got the $700 M&T package discount. So when I looked at the Moon & Tunes package with the AT I really was only saving another $300. Bet that AT alone discount is gone too.

$400 for AT? On the 2003 models you get $400 off for the power package and $300 off for the M&T's for a total of $700. I've never seen a discount for the Transmission

I believe that you get $1,000 if you have a GM car of the same brand that you are buying, and $750 if you have a GM car of a different brand. Note that there are certain exceptions, but the Vibe isn't one of them.

All Power Package cars receive the $400 discount, even manual tranmission cars.
