Removal/ adjusting of 2009/2010 Pontiac Vibe factory roof racks

Does anyone know how to adjust the placement of the factory roof racks on a 2010 Pontiac? When the dealership (which is now closed due to GM no longer making Pontiacs ) installed them, they were installed too far back, which is probably standard due to the potential to have a sunroof (which I don't). Because the racks are placed the way they are when I put my roof box on the roof, I have issues opening the rear door. If I could move the roof racks forward than it would solve my issue. You can do this with a Thue or Yakima rack so why not a factory rack? Thanks, hopefully someone else knows how this can be done because my local GM dealer has no idea.

I don't believe you can adjust the factory roof rack on the '09/'10. There have been others complaining about not being able to open the hatch too.
