Poor thing.

Post by 7mac7 »

Hi again. So I had it in my mind (since I like the vibe that I bought primarily for my wife to drive) that I was going to find one that was considerably less $$ with more miles on it for myself. I found one on 8 Mile and Mound road at Legacy motors... Let me tell you. This thing was beat. It had bent trim on the doors.. It was missing the bolt covers on the roof rack. There was oil sitting on top of the trans case. The front tires were bald and the rears were new (some off-brand). They were asking 4k for it. I would have given them 2200 at best for it. It was baaaad. I still hold hope that I can find one in decent shape with higher miles for me to drive. No more than 4k if I do it. I guess my daily driver stays the 98 Saturn SL 5speed base model for now. I still drive "The Wife's" (our) vibe as often as I can. Maybe I'll check craigslist for a deal...lol

I found a 2004 base automatic in Brighton on Craigslist back in March that only had 30,000 miles, or something insane like that. They only wanted $7 or $8k, too. The post on Craigs is dead, of course, but here's the thread I started: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=40840There are tons of used Vibes out there. You'll find something, Mac. Here's a couple local GTs w/ decent asking prices:http://detroit.craigslist.org/....htmlh ... ..htmlGood luck!

I did a quick check of national CarMax used Vibe inventory - not that many and not that cheap.
