I just had to swap the tranny in my 2003 Vibe. It's a 5 speed and the original one locked up on me at ~85000 miles. I'm hoping it's just bad luck and not cursing Toyota's name at this point. My replacement tranny came out of a 2008 Corolla. I had a shop do the work since I needed the car back ASAP. Anyway, I noticed today when driving on the highway for the first time that the cruise control isn't working correctly. The "cruise" light on the dash comes on when I press the button. When I push the stalk to set the speed the "cruise" light just flashes at me. Pressing any cruise button (resume/accel, cancel, or coast) has no effect on the flashing. Turning it off turns the "cruise" light off. I hunted around through some of the other threads but can't find these symptoms so I'm hoping someone can help out. I'm hoping maybe it's just the clutch switch or something...anyone know where the clutch switch for the cruise unit is? Is it by the clutch pedal or by the actual clutch? Any other guesses on what might have gone wrong? Thanks in advance for your help!Drew
