Is my Engine mount Bracket Bent?

Post by dqami »

Hi all,I just bought my '04 Vibe and my front motor mount needs replacing as it's sticking way out to the left. The engine bracket for the mount looks bent to me but since I don't have one to compare it to, I need your opinion on if that is the way it's supposed to be or do I need to replace it as well? Thanks. Awesome website.

if you look at my photo you will notice the trans lines are bolted to the engine. Yours are not and they appear to be leaking as well, or something in that area is leaking, which is causing all of your dirt build up.They are also contacting your trans dipstick tube which they shouldn't. So my guess the car was in an accident and it was hit on the driverside front and pushed everything twards the passenger side. If I were you I would look for more damage done to the subframe. That car could very well be a very bad car to be even be driven on the road, my guess is that there is going to be a lot of things on this car that will need replacement.

Thanks for your help! Unfortunately, I didn't do a Carfax and I was in a hurry to get another vehicle to replace what I currently drive. Hopefully it's not a big deal to replace the bracket and mount. It seems to drive fine otherwise.
