Where did they go?

Post by houseofbugs »

I was looking through the Gallery of previous meets and I really want to know where the 3 concept Vibes from the Michigan Meets went to. There were 3. The GXP, GT-R, and Autocross. I would LOVE to buy one of them if they are still around.Anyone know?

Just a hair to late bud; they all went at Barret Jackson's Palm Beach 2009 auction, the FX went at Scottsdale 2009Lot-18-2003 PONTIAC VIBE "FX" CUSTOM-$12,100http://www.barrett-jackson.com...pop=1Lot-312-2002 PONTIAC VIBE GT-R CUSTOM-$11,000http://www.barrett-jackson.com...pop=1Lot-56.1-2003 PONTIAC VIBE AUTOCROSS-$12,100http://www.barrett-jackson.com...pop=1Lot-317-2003 PONTIAC VIBE GXP CUSTOM 4 DOOR-$12,650http://www.barrett-jackson.com...pop=1The GXP and Autocross were sold on scrap title, The GT-R on a Bill of sale and the FX was salvage. The up side is that you can still get the Rally crosshttp://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=41112Aron

I'm having a hard time believing the GXP is a 2003, with that front end and all. Looks very much like the 2005-2008 front end, with a different mold around the fogs and optional grille inserts.

The GXP has a SIMILAR front end to the 2005. It is different honeycomb. What does it mean if its a scrap title? The rally cross one is OK. I really wanted the Autocross one or the GT-R. I would do terrible things to get the GT-r or the Autocross..Terrible things.

Scrap title can not be titled or insured. I think by 03 all cars in Pontiac's lineup had the flush grill other then the Vibe they just did a subtle makeover on the GXP to get feedback on the front end for the 05 redesign. That would be my take anyway.Aron

Is there a way to change a scrap title to a salvage or something else?

GT-R... They should have made that an option. Woof. Always liked it.

That's just what I was thinking, vibo. That's a GREAT looking car!
