Rotors - Vibe & Matrix Same?

Hi Guys,I've got a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS [Full Rotors all around]What I would like to know is if I can purchase 2003 Vibe GT Rotors instead of getting them from Toyota? Toyota dealership here in Canada wants more then $900.00 for the parts 4 rotors and 4 pads. GM has a sale on Brakes this month in Canada. I called the dealership and the prices are AWESOME. They quoted me just over $300.00 for what I think are the same parts. Seeing that we are so very similar build in the same location can someone confirm that what I would like todo will work? I've read online 'google search' that the shimes might be different in the rears. Any suggestions would be great. I really want to keep my cost down and I really don't care for the slotted or drilled rotors. If I can get them for under $400 CDN let me know where.Thanks everyone.

hey there looks like you joined in o4... so i won't say welcome to the site anymore anyways, as long as the parts from the vibe gt are the same year, they should fit with no prob.good luckand if you haven't posted a pic of the matrix, D0 IT!!!

Thanks ramenboy!Yeah, Its been a while since I've been here. I'm still here just too busy with life... My wife just had twins two weeks ago and with two older kids both under 5 life is just a bit nuts right now.Thanks for your help. I too think its the same but I still need todo some more reading up on this. Maybe if someone else knows the true answer to this will post their comments.Cheers!

the power train is the same and shims for the cars are shims they are all the same. You could reuse the current shims as long as they aren't rusted. The body panels are different and the HVAC have some differences. Check out http://www.neverenoughauto.com he ships to canada all the time
