Hey everyone, I'm about to order new summer rims and am looking at the Konig Incident 16". Anyone seen these rims on a Vibe? I'd love to get 17's or 18's but I'm not because I want to maintain a larger sidewall and smooth ride. Any opinions? Thanks!

Those Konigs would look great in 16's and you should have no problem.

Well, I went ahead and ordered them today. Stock was low so It'll probably be a couple weeks before I get them and get them mounted. I'll be sure to post pics when they're done! Now the waiting game...

Checked out the pics, those look great on the Matrix. I'll be racking up the miles a little quicker though... I drive about 20,000 a year!Do anything special to keep your rims looking good?

Nice rims. What tire/size/brand are you going to stick on the new rims? The OE tires? You can get a quiet, smooth riding summer tire and kinda +1 it, by going with a 215 width. To keep your wheels looking really good for a long time, wax your rims twice a year (first before you put them on your car, too!). There are wheel specific cleaners and waxes out there.Depending on time and energy... but at least once a year before the cool season, try to get the bits of tar off before they bond to the finish. Good waxing helps keep the tar from really sticking and staining. The next best thing is to get them off, clean them and store them before they salt and sand the roads. Winter = rocks and salt = bad for wheel finish.

Winter = rocks and salt = bad for wheel finish. I'm gonna stick with the OE tires for this summer, they've still got plenty of life in 'em. Would going to a 215 change the ride much? Might be something to look into for next year. I plan on putting winter tires on my steelies so taking care of the rims in the fall should be no problem and they won't have to see western NY winters. So hopefully they'll stay looking good for a long time. Thanks for the tips on careing for them. Guess I'll have to start searching for some wax and cleaners. Recommend anything in particular?

A 215 width would give you a little more rubber on the road... and if you kept the same aspect ratio of 55 it would be a tad taller. With the right tire, you could end up with a very comfortable ride. After a bit of research, I ended up with a 225/50 17. The tire I picked was the Kumho Ecsta Platinum LX for its overall performance numbers combined with the quiet tread pattern. Not great in snow, (I use snow tires in winter) but it is very good in wet and dry conditions. Not a mushy tire and turn in is fairly quick. One the other hand, the ride is supple, and it's definitely the most quiet tire I've ever had on a car. On a Vibe, that's really nice to have.

Nice rims! What offset are they? Save up for a set of 215/55s (or 60s if they would fit) tires, so you run something that would fill up those wheel wells a bit more. Super nice wheels. Very nice.

The offset is 40mmNew tires next summer, I'd like to make the wheel well gap a bit smaller... Lowering springs are very tempting but I don't know.

Definitely a tough decision! Lowering is not the best option where I live. Rough roads and lots of snow sometimes would make that a bad decision. Really like the wheels on your Vibe.
