Updated belt tensioner

I am going to replace the belt and belt tensioner in my wife's Vibe soon. I read about the "improved" tensioner in Toyota's TSB, but are the aftermarket tensioners like Gates, Dayco, ect., as good? I would like to go with Gates, but just wanted to see if there was any serious reason to stay away from them? Thanks, Chris
