Pictures of my Vibe...

Post by huy397 »

I decided to take some pics of my baby today... probaby not the best time. hehe.Bought this car almost 2 months ago, really an excellent car!The total cargo space is just amazing, I moved recently myself and I am really impressed, I could even fit a single bed into the back.2003 Pontiac Vibe, Frosty White. Everything is stock, nothing done to it at all. Here are some pics.http://www.pbase.com/image/19302367http ... /19302373I am sorry the pics aren't great, it's windy today and it's hard to fit a tripod in the the car.

Nice looking Vibe. I always have liked the way the two tone looks in Frosty.

Yeah, it's fun to drive a Canadian car in U.S. or vice versaA few years back, we drove to Boston and New York and we always get honked on the freeway for driving too slow.Because 60 actually mean 100 in my car... the mile per hour is very small in my previous car and I am just not used to looking at it.And it's not uncommon at all for Americans to get pulled over by Canadian cops for speeding... mis¡Ptak¡Ping 60 ( km/h ) for 60 mi/hr which is almost 100km/hr.

Does the "I'm american and don't understand how to read my speed in Canada" line usually work?

Depends on the cops I guess and where you are.If you're on the prairies, DO NOT tell them you're American... prairie people aren't the biggest fan of U.S. as of now, because of Mad Cow Disease.A good way to get out of a situation like that is to pretend you're actually Canadian.Tell them you're coming home to visit.Of course, you'd have to talk Canadian... eh ?

Does it go out a couple seconds after switching the ignition on?BTW, funny story... I used to have an Oldsmobile with a digital gauges... I often had it switched over to metric. Freaked out the friends, "wow, sure doesn't seem like you're doing 100!" LOL!

Oil pressure light goes out after the car is started.I didn't start the car when I was taking the pics, I only turned the key half-way, hence all the warning lighgts. Does it stay on for American Vibes ? or is there a gauge for it ?

Maybe it was the angle...BTW, great pics... Anyone noticed HOW difficult it is to get good pics of the gauges on these cars? I've had hundreds of BLURRY ones by now!
