I got my Acculaser dash kit in and installed. It is some of the highest quailty carbon fiber. It looks great, and really changed the inside of the car. game show host voice, "Johnny, Show THem What They Won For Checking Out THis Thread!!!!!!" Johnny says, "THEY WON A BRAND NEW SET OF PICTURES OF GT_03's INTERIOR"

mmm ... carbon fiber.Do you have any other pics of the CF from a closer or mb angled view. I was always skeptical of their CF dash kits because it didn't look like REAL CF. (can see the 3d weave of the fibers under the plastic polymer "clearcoat")Both my bikes use carbon fiber for the frame/other parts and I'm working with someone else for some other special projects. What we really need is a full CF interior ala the McLaren F1 racecar that's out there ... mmm ... so nice
quote: It's really nice, and does look just like carbon fiber. Now this throws me off a bit. "looks just like carbon fiber" or "is real carbon fiber" ... which one is it? (Just because I am interested if it is true honest carbon fiber)Thanks
quote:heres the most important question...how much? lol. how did you take the old ones off, they snap on/off?Well, first i won it off ebay for $150.00 and second it has 3M tape on the back, and just goes on top of the factory pieces, but it fits so good you cannot tell.
GT-03 great kit!!! Geo to answer your question they are not real carbon fiber. 90% of dash kits on the market are stickers with epoxy on them so they won't fade or chip. It looks the same, besides it save you a ton of money. The price a a real carbon fiber dash kit would be @ $700 minimum.
quote:The price a a real carbon fiber dash kit would be @ $700 minimum. Actually, I found this on ebay for $170: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 69&rd=1Tis interesting (and REAL carbon fiber), but I'm not going for it ... other stuff to spend my cash on right now
It is also an overlay kit. i would like to see a true carbon fiber replacement kit. (Don't count on one every being mass produced for the Vibe). I hope his kit is real carbon fiber, but I would think that would make it not flexible, right. All carbon fiber I've seen in person is not bendable or twistable. All of the dash kits I've seen claiming to be real carbon fiber are flimsey and bendable. I'm not a carbon fiber expert though.
