Noise upon lifting gas pedal

I have a 2006. I am hearing a noise--a short burst that sounds like a motorcycle accelerating very fast or like a quick "turbine" sound--a zip like sound--when I lift off the gas pedal. Car seems to run fine. Gas mileage good. Just had oil changed. Any insight into this?

have the same thing, not sure waht it is..kinda like a whine but dosnt do it all the time

Same here. It is very low level but a definite "zip" whine. Could it be somehthing electrical adjusting to the throttle being lifted? Car runs fine.

Does this year Vibe have electronically controlled gas pedal/engine link to "smooth out" driver input?
