Did any one get a call from the nummi plant yet?

dont know if this something new or a vibe thingbecause i bought my cavalier new a year ago did not get anything like itsomeone from the nummi plant in ca. called me to do a customer satisfaction call on my 04 vibe since i had it a monthi told them i was happy and asked me tons of questions on the car like how you like the build and if you had any problemsi told them about the a/c that was so soand asked 10 questions about that alonebut i think it will help out other vibes in the long runso i answered all the questions,and that was it have a nice day ,,,

When I got my Sunfire new, I had a written survey to do...but certainly no calls...as to the Vibe, nothing here in terms of calls.If anyone else gets a call, don't be afraid to be honest with them about your feelings and concerns, they do use that info to improve the new models!

Yeah, I got a call from them. I mentioned the missing shift lock cover, stuff sliding around in the back, cruise resume loss when going under 25, and cladding that scratches easily.I also told him, I'm very pleased with the Vibe.

The new Gauges are the reason I'm going for the 2004 model vs the 2003. Sure I could get another $1000 off on the 2003. But the gauges make a big difference

Well, if it were just the gauges, go for an 03, then pay $500 to replace the gauges...you still come out $500 ahead!

I've never had another vehicle that lost resume memory after a stop; once speed was back above 25. I searched for threads about this, and the consensus was all Toyotas are like this, and I find it very annoying.

I haven't been lucky enough to get a call from NUMMI... I discovered my sister's Camry did the same thing many years back... So, probably is a Toyota thing. All of my "true" GM cars retained the memory. If you had the cruise previously engaged, and stopped, once you got past the 25 MPH point, you could resume to the last set speed. Definitely not so with the Vibe. I'm sure there is a valid safety concern at mind here, but it sure would come in handy for the cases where you stop, but can then return to a safe speed in a location where you can use the cruise effectively. I'm thinking stopping at a tollbooth for a good example here..I'm not complaining though - I'm tickled to have the CANCEL function, something GM doesn't seem to want to use...

This must be a Japanese engineering thing. The vehicles I test that DO have the resume 'problem' that you are talking about are also Japanese (Suzuki).
