i should mention that last week 1/2 of the radio display lighting went out, then 5 days later its blowing its fuse. i suspect the radio and will attempt to unhook it this weekend and see if the fuse will stay.

It could be the radio blowing the fuse, but odds are it isn't. So far here at genvibe- lots of people have had lights in the radio burn out and none have had that cause the CIG fuse to blow- a fewer number (me included) have developed a short in the lighter outlet itselfso probabilities are that it's the outlet and not the radio, and the two issues are not related.Mine will blow the CIG fuse anytime I plug anything in to it outlet. Which radio lights went out?(and welcome to genvibe)

i bad. found out that phone charger came apart in power socket. part of it was stuck in there with cover closed. removed it and alls fine. yet left side of clock and radio display lighting still out. we can live with that. thanks.
