I was going to cancel OnStar on my '09 Vibe when my year was up but with the thing possibly being "accident prone" thought I'd keep it awhile at their special renewal rate of $12.95 a month - I was told I could cancel at any time. I got an e-mail today saying my hands free minutes had expired with an offer to sell me more. I called OnStar and told them it was my understanding that if I renewed my minutes would not expire. They are giving me 100 minutes that will now expire on 1-12-2011. If they had not I would have told them to cancel me right now.Actually - they should continue OnStar for free for those of us with the 09 and 10 models that may or may not have the acceleration defect.

Mine will be up in June... won't be renewing (unless it's free...). People always had trouble hearing me when I used the OnStar phone, even while stopped. It's nice to have, but I have enough "expenses" and this one just doesn't cut the mustard!
My fiance works as a dispatcher and has said numerous times that OnStar is a joke.Whenever they are trying to dispatch police/fire/ambulance, the OnStar reps have no clue where you are. They can only give a "name" of a street but half the time, the street has multiple names and I guess the ones that emergency dispatch uses are county roads and things like that instead of the name.I'm not sure who has a bad GPS system as far as the street names are concerned, but when you are relying on emergency services to get to you and the company that is supposed to help them can't, it doesn't work out good for you.
