I gave my car a bath today, so I figured I'd post pictures of all the new presents my car has been slowly acquiring as a result of the joys of Christmas Cash.Since the 2009 vibes have a tendency to cover themselves in snow and muck from the road (probably because the body cuts ever-so-stylishly inward from the front tires), I figured I'd get splash guards installed. I rather like the GM ones... they're really low profile and flow with the car's lines. No word yet on how well they actually guard from splashing... but I will keep you posted. We have a long road trip to Atlanta at the end of the month so we'll see if those help. And here is the interior... radar detector (not sure how I feel about this one... it's supposed to be one of the best but it is constantly going off for NO REASON), Garmin GPS, fun all-weather floor mats, and a fun steering wheel cover. I like it when things coordinate. Clearly, the inside of the car did not get a bath...

The splash guards look good. I installed the factory ones on my car. Worth every penny. I have one of those gravel/dirt country driveways. If your trip to Atlanta takes you through Virginia, put the radar detector in the glove box. They're illegal here. The fine is around $100.00 if you get busted with it. I speak from experience. Another red Vibe.

Oh hey, that's a good point... better check the radar detector laws in the states we're driving through.Like I said, it's practically useless anyway because it randomly beeps constantly for no reason... all it serves to do is make me go the speed limit anyway, which kinda defeats the purpose! Ok, husband just tells me the internet says it is only illegal in DC and Virginia... it also says that radar jammers are only illegal in some states... wow I figured they'd be universally illegal.

Wow.... that's what my car looks like under all that grime....I'll get around to washing it at some point.... maybe once the snow goes away and I'm riding the bike again...
Honestly, the only reason I washed the car was because I just got the splash guards and I wanted to see if there would be a noticeable difference in accumulated grime afterwards... lol. That and it's going to be (relatively) warm (low to mid 30s) for the next few days w/o snow.
