Well after much research I think Ive decided against the Infinities and on these (crutchfield says they fit in the front but not rear, but they are often wrong) I have a series of questions. First I have an 04 vibe with the moon and tunes package everything is bone stock.First will these speakers work off of my factory amp ?Second has anyone had experience with these speakers?Third has anyone ever attempted these speakers in the front door, or do you think they will fit? Here are the specsDesign2-wayTweeter DesignDomeTweeter CompositionSilkWoofer CompositionPoly-micaWoofer SurroundRubberParts Warranty1 YearLabor Warranty1 YearSpecificationsSensitivity88 dB at 1 watt Frequency Response70 - 22k HzRMS Power Range (Watts)2-80Peak Power Handling (Watts)240Impedance (Ohms)4Top-mount Depth (Inches)2 1/8Bottom-mount Depth (Inches)N/ACutout Diameter or Length (inches)5 9/16

The factory speakers are 2ohm speakers, and in theory going from a 2ohm load to a 4ohm load you will decrease power by 50%. I am not sure what the stock speakers are rated in efficiency but to overcome the power loss and keep the same loudness of the factory system you would need a speaker that is at least 3db louder then stock. but there are some benefits to dropping to a 4ohm speaker over the 2ohm. First you save a little energy as the amp will not be driven as hard, and the amp will not generate as much heat when you crank on it, heat eats power.Quote, originally posted by srlebonv »Second has anyone had experience with these speakers? They are not a bad little speaker in the price range IMO, but if you can find a dealer in you area that has Hertz car audio look into the DIECI line, not much more money but the sound is that much better.Quote, originally posted by srlebonv »Third has anyone ever attempted these speakers in the front door, or do you think they will fit? They will fit, you will most likely need a spacer and a bracket to mount them to the door.
Vibe is gone and will be missed as I've gone country style
Damn, I already bought them, Where does one find 2 ohm speakers ?I didnt see anything about this listed in the prior posts. Most people recommended the infinity 6022i ( I believe are 4ohm)
