I just ordered 100 bright blue leds off of ebay, they should be here in two to three days. I am planning on doing what i have seen in another vibe, where he put LEDs in the cupholder and what not, i am putting my switch in the same exact spot as the other dude did ( right in the slot underneath the hand brake ) i will then run them to the cupholders, the change/cell phone slot thingy above the cup holders, and also in the area where it gets flat below the cupholders, and in the center console upper and lower compartments, and also in strategic places to light up the cupholder fold down thing, and also right below the fold down cup holder to light up the carpet that divides both places where you would put your feet. if any ideas on where else i should put em tell me.
make sure that you have the proper resistors. try and get into contact with the seller to find the electrical spec for them to help you out in the best setup possible.

You could drill the back sides of all of the light fixtures and rear mount your LEDs THROUGH the back of the fixture... You could leave the stock bulb if you liked, or, just pull it and forget about it.. You have little cubbies on both sides of the trunk, you could make lights for them.. I would use different switches for different things.. you could easily make up a small switch bank somewhere to control different circuits.. Oh, and start doing searches for LED "Arrays" or groups of LEDs.... there are different power requirements for different numbers of LED in a circuit.. you'll need to know more... it's not just plug n play, bro.. As mentioned above, you'll likely need some resistors as well...
yup, i have gone to my dad for that he is an electrical engineer so e already has it all figured out. and by light fixtures do you mean the dome lights? and i like the cubby idea. i am making plans to have a switch bank for each section of leds ( a switch for each ) it will most likely end up right above the latch that opens up the hood, it will repalace that little drop down storage area, it will be a piece of custom fitted aluminum with my carbon fiber material wrapped around it.
it is from pep boys, got a crap load of it for 15 bucks, I looked it up and couldnt find anything proving that it wasnt real, seeign as the container it came in said REAL CARBON FIBER. it is sweet stuff and is very easy to use.
...BLUE LEDs have a 'voltage drop' of about 2-2.2Vdc each, so stringing six (6) of them in series will allow them to be safely connected directly to the car 12V system without having to use a separate dropping resistor or resistance.
...and the Devil said: "...yes, but it's a DRY heat!"

i know that the drop in mine is 3 volts so theoretically i could put 4 in series. And if i put more than that the brightness will drop. I wold like to put one in as some sort of small protection. i will post pics of my own very unique way of wiring my switch and whatnot within the next few days. i would also like any other input form everyone on here that has done this sort of mod. There are bunches of ways i could hook these babies up.

There are a few places you can get it... right now a place called Eurodyne seems to be cornering the market.. and there is another place.. can't think of it right now.. I have a post in the interior section about it..
i got my leds today, im working on putting them in, 1 ohm resistors are hard to find and the voltage is to high coming through the 12 volt power that im feeding from, its approximately 14.07 volts which means if i have 3.3 volt leds it doesnt divide the power right, so basically i have tio use the 1 ohm, ill keep my findings posted.
all leds are installed in center console armrest thing. its looking amazing. i will soon install under seat leds and driver and passenger side leds to light up my feet, and then the A/C vents and speakers, and door pockets. and in the dome lights. I cant wait!
ok, next project, leds under the dash to light up passenger side and driver side feet area. Problem: passenger side area under dash has no where to put the leds or a neon tube of any kind, the engine management computer thing is in the way, how did people who have put leds or neons in that area to light it up install them there, pics would be nice.
RESSURECTION! I just put more leds in the center console armrest thing, there are now 9 in it alone, excluding everywhere else, theres one in each cup holder, one in the storage area under the armrest, one in the change thing, one where the cds are supposed to go shining out, and 3 in the little flip down cup holder thing, which when closed hids all the LEDs....pics soon, just wanted to let everyone know
Do the LED's shine in your eyes? When I did mine in the cupholders I put the LED's on the back side wall so you don't see the LED's themselves. I like the LED's in the vents.
will have more pics of the vent leds and the second part of my center console/storage project tommorow as well as rear leds in the back seats, and yes they did initially shine in my eyes but im used to it now.
CP--looking good. In the armrest storage area you might want to consider putting some LED's nearer the top (see pic). That way when you start to fill in the storage area the LED's won't be blocked and you can still see in there. It's worked great for me. I put mine on the driver's side wall so can't see them directly.
hmmm..never thought about that, but good point i will most likely put 3 more inside that compartment within the week, the car is on its way to looking like a xmas tree, i like it, if you guys have any more ideas of where i can shove them, let me know. More pics soon, and i can not wait to show you all in person!
