Hi.I'm Kaley, and I have a 2007 Vibe I love this car, but there are some things that are kinda bothering me, and was wondering if someone could help me out. I got the car spring break of 08, my senior year in high school. I traded a 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT V8 Magnum for it, so it was quite different.Lately I've been noticing some issues.When I moved from Florida to Missouri, my gauges started going up and down while I was driving and just stopped dead in the street, and it would not start, it wouldn't even turn over. Turned out to be the car's "motherboard" as the mechanic put it.Got it replaced.Now when I rev, the rpm's will go up substantially before the car moves in speed. My brakes are sticking, and there's a weird noise coming from under the hood. I brought it back to the dealership and had them look it all over. They took my tranny apart and could find nothing, so what's up with the noise??Also, when I put it in reverse, it makes this god awful knocking sound. Anyone else having these issues, or can tell me what's up?

I will try to help you, but you will need to be a bit more specific. Do you have a manual or automatic transmission?What gauges are going up and down? Brakes? If they are sticking it could be a few different things. Needs new pads, needs to be bled...Describe the sound from under the hood.Describe the knocking sound when in reverse.

Welcome to GenVibe!!! Now this knocking in reverse... does it click while turning? Does the noise happen while reversing or when you shift into reverse?

it's an automatic, couldn't drive a stick to save my life lol.the gauges and stuff were fixed when they replaced the motherboard. but it was every gauge, repeatedly moving up and down.the brakes sticking just happenes every now and then..i just got my tires replaced, and haven't experienced it yet. but it's only been a few hours since.i don't really know how to describe the weird sound.. except like, okay..my uncle races boats and when the engine is idling and it's like, kinda "knocking" idk if that makes sense ha. i'm such a typical girl when it comes to cars.. :/and it comes on as soon as i start going in reverse. but it's only every once in a while. idk, i've heard it could just be because it's cold outside.the sound from under the hood i'm not sure how to describe it..it sounds like it's coming from behind my glove box though.and hello missourian!

When I put mine into reverse its makes a horrible vibrating noise.. maybe the same thing? And its kinda shakes also.. I have no car knowledge either.. and Im a guy..
