Maf sensor noob question

never done it, I got a vibe on trade in with 145k miles, im sure its dirty do i wanna get the crc spray up in the middle and around the whole thing, dont want to fail, thanks allot mikeI found this picture online, by the middle i mean the channel

Yep, just spray down the ball looking thing as well as the... whatever it is in the middle. Make sure it's completely dry before you put it back in though.

what is confusing me is that they say the amber ball is not the sensor but the air meter? where is the important part to clean?

Not much surprize this is what it looked liked, I took the car in on trade in with 145,000 miles. Im not sure if they ever cleaned it, it was nasty, nastyI used crc maf sensor cleaner, let it dry and then took the vibe for a 5 min, wow huge diffrence and smoothness, great fix!
