Need new tires for 08 Vibe

Hi folks,I'm in need of a set of new tires for my 08 base Vibe. I was hoping some of you more knowledgeable folks would be able to help me out with what I should put on. I'm looking for an all season tire, as I live in central California. Moderate price. I've found a set of Pirelli Cinturato P5 for $94 each locally. Anyone familiar with this tire or can reccomend another?Appreciate it!Justin

Thanks folks! I've been looking at the General tires online, however, I cant find any around in my area. Also, theres a pretty good price right now for the BF Goodrich Traction T/A tire. Not sure what to do.

Ok, so I've pretty much narrowed it down to the following: The Pirelli Cinturato P5, BF Goodrich Traction T/A, Yokohama AVID Touring-S, Cooper Response Touring, and the Goodyear Eagle RS.Anyone have any of the above? Pricing is all about the same, I just want to make sure I get the best bang for my buck. Leaning towards the Pirelli.

i have the same tires as lovemyraffie, the general altimax hp and love them. i have about 30000 miles on them and they are pry only 50% worn out. alot better than the factory ones that wore out at 30000, pos conti.

Thanks deekiere. Unfortunately, I cannot locate those tires anywhere in my area, and I'm afraid the price isn't worth it to have them shipped in.

They do charge for shippingHey Bike.Yeah, that's where I'm looking at. Out here, we have "America's Tire Co.," which is the same thing. It's down between the T/A's and the Pirelli P5. The Pirelli's also have a $40 discount for a set 4. I'm having a hard time finding reviews for the Pirelli. Tirerack doesn't have that particular tire listed. Decent reviews on the T/A.

Well, I'm going to go with the Yokohama's. It's ranked second in the All season Touring category at Tirereack. For the price, I dont think I can beat it.

Just installed Continental ExtremeContact DWS on the wife's Vibe. Have had several chances to drive them in the rain and dry in less than a week (weird winter weather around here.) I LOVE 'em!!And I have Kumho ASX on my Mazda3 and will definitely NOT be replacing them with same.These (Ecsta LX Platinum) seem to rate pretty well too... and w/a 600 wear rating (to be taken w/a grain of salt.)Yoko's are mediocre at best, and pricey for what they are. I used them on my Honda years ago and love them too. They used to be good but they have gone the "safe" route since.I would not recommend them.

NO! NO on the yokohama's!!! I have had at least 4 sets of yokohama's and every set has died from broken belts inside the tire. 4 for 4! I only bought one set myself with the others being one used set and two sets came with the used car. I think my Vibe, which came with a near new set of Yokohama's now has a belt going out on the left front: pulling left and a slight shake at certain speeds. That will be 5 for 5! Now don't blame it on my driving because I have NEVER had any other tires do this in my 30 years of driving. Can you say warranty claim? - I thought so too but Yokohama wanted me to PROVE I did NOT cause the tire to fail! HELLO - you cannot PROVE a NEGATIVE! With this CRAPPY customer service over a $60 tire, I swore to tell everyone to stay away from Yoko!Anyway, the tires I HIGHLY recommend, have run at the track with great results and have been tested by Consumer reports to be second only to Michelin's costing twice as much: Falken ZE912: http://www.discounttirezone.co....htmlRead up on them and I am sure you will give them a try.
