I have alwasy considered one of these. They are mainly used in race cars where they change the oil after every run. These are cleanable and what not.I couldn't get past the price tag for one of them.

The filter for the 09 Vibe costs around $8 at the dealer. To equal my $200 investment in this re-usable filter, with an 8000km oil change interval, I would have to drive 200000kms. Everything after that is gravy! Will I own the Vibe that long? What if I buy a whack of filters off ebay for $4 each? The standard Ac Delco filter filters out particles larger then 10 microns while the re-usable says 22 microns is the smallest that it can handle. But to each his/her own!
