That's rediculous! What are they gonna do next, search for any combination of those two chords on every online-music-swapping site they can find, sue everyone they find using it, then sue everyone they find downloading it? Are they really just out to be the biggest jerks in the music business? I'm not disagreeing with the fact that it sucks to be ripped off, but 50% of the revenue is a bit extreme. Why don't they just start going to local karaoke bars and sue anyone they hear covering them and request a cut of the profit from every bar-owner...

I will go ahead and say that this is a bit of satire put on by that Canadian band - it's hard to tell but if you are really looking, I believe this is all fake.Still, extremely funny. This is spreading around the 'net like wildfire, radio stations are running with and and a LOT of people are taking this as real.The most humorous part of this is that with all the sh*t that Metallica has pulled in the past, people really wouldn't put this kind of action past them. I would say more, but I have to go download some more Metallica songs (And if you wonder, I always download Metallica, and tend to buy other stuff, it's just the principle of the thing)

I think the article and all the links in it are fake. Very well done though. The fake links to the MTV, Metaliblow and other links look very genuine. Lars is such a little snivelling, whining, dirtbag weasle, it looks good on him. There are so many good young bands out there now, why do we need a bunch of spoiled rotten, arthritic geriatric, cheeseburg eating, over the hill aging rock 'stars' with rotten teeth hanging desparately onto their pathetic wasted past. Let Lars go into his lonely future and die a lengthy painful death, like he deserves.

You know, i have to say that this is a well done spoof. The only problem with it is it's all too feasible, given Metallica's recent history. A sick and twisted part of me kinda wants to see what would actually be the verdict if something like this actually was tried. The pessimistic part of me says that Metallica would win another ludicrous battle.It just amazes me what has happened to what used to be one of the best metal bands out there, even without this spoof to remind us.

This is the point of the article, is that it is really a spoof!However, what makes it so great is that everyone believes Metallica would actually do something like this, so people who don't look closly think that this is really happening.
