http://blogs.cars.com/kickingt...es%29The GM tech I hang out with warned me about this they have not had any acceleration problems but they are going to have to look at it. Stay safe

Back in the day my 65 396 impala 4spd would break a motor mount & the gas pedal would go to the floor, the dealer fix for that was a steel cable on the drivers side conecting the motor to the frame. It also happened to me on my old 68 427 4spd vette,I fixed that myself usen a chain atached from the motor to the frame.Fortunately Ididn't have any accidents but it was a wild ride !!! The 87 Sunbird I had was recalled for potential engine compartment fires & so was my 86 Fiero,so im kinda use to recalls. I only posted the recalls I experianced ,Im sure theres many, many more.If it happens in the Vibe I'll just drop it in N or turn off the key.

65 396 4spd Impala, nothing like lugging over 2 tones of steel in absolute style. I have heard of the old V8's snapping mounts right off the showroom floor. God I need to get my car done. The truck had a bad cable that if I put the foot to the floor the cable would lock the throttle full open. Just shut off the motor and coast. Unfortunately, in a panic situation not everyone thinks this way. An ex-girlfriend in highschool had a Chevette throttle hang in a parking lot. Fortunately, it was a Chevette so it did not accelerate overly fast but it did do about $200.00 damage when she hit a cement divider.
