I suspect it is extremely difficult to make something with zero chance of injury under any and all circumstances. Looking at the price of infant items I suspect 50% of the cost is for recalls, lawsuits etc.. I an 67 - I am sure these things were a lot more hazardous when our kids were small but there was not nearly as much oversight and reporting then.

....note to self, remove kid from stroller before folding!I realise that these things need to be safe but lets try to use some common sense here...How long before people start raising their kids in a bubble?

I realize that some things are made over seas to American design specs but it seems that almost every time there is a major trouble with an item, these words, that I quote from this article, appear...."The strollers were made in China ......"Dave

Got it home - noticed that thecarton said "made in China".
