instrument and dash lite go on and off

Post by jim76hd »

i have an '05 vibe, while driving i lost the instrument and dash lites after a few minutes they would come back on. it was acting like a circut breaker re-setting. i here a clicking from under the dash on passenger side but only find 4 relays. my fuse block is under hood on the drivers side, is there somwhere else i should be looking for a breaker or am i on the wrong track for looking for the problem. thanks for the help.

Sounds like your automatic headlights are turning on and off. First go check your instrument light control which is a little dial to the left of the instrument panel. Make sure it isn't turned all the way down. This changes how bright your instrument panel is at night or when your headlights are on. That is my first guess.

I have the same problem. It doesn't seem like a major issue though. So I'm not worrying about it.
