Defrost/defog settings...

Post by jasonvibe »

In my 2005 manual and CD it says how to use the defogger settings. "Push the A/C button. Then select a defog setting on the dial." This does not seem needed. Mine automatically turns the compressor on when either defog positions are selected. I can hear the compressor clutch click on. The windows clear pretty fast. You folks may already know this.

They did the same thing in the manual for my G6. It indicates to turn on the A/C system when using the defogger...but it automatically kicks in when you switch into those modes.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

I disabled this function this function on my 03 Vibe today. Quite simple: - remove the silver radio surround, - remove the radio- reach down to the back HAVC control panel and unplug the plug with the black and yellow wires running into it.All other functions operate normally and you can still manually select A/C in the demist mode
A fantastic solution to a problem that need not exist!
