PPE header vs. DC Sports header

Post by boomermsu »

Is the PPE header for the 1ZZ motor worth the extra money? I keep contemplating a header for the vehicle and wonder if the DC or the PPE is the best option. Car is basically a commuter/utility vehicle. Would like a little more go under my foot with the traffic and potential situations of long expressway trips provide.

If you have the money to burn then buy the PPE header! But that's a lot of $$$...

I'm not familiar w/either, but the general rule of thumb is that a 4-2-1 header will generally give you more usable power (mid-range improvement) for the street than a 4-1 (high-end.)

After a little more searching why don't people use the OBX header and midpipe that is quite affordable?

Very cheaply made and the welds sometimes fail. But if you can weld, a simple once-over on the welds will suffice.
