RKSport Hood Scoop

So this is the plan thus far, since Ive only had the car 3 days.this RKSport Hood scoop:http://www.yourhotcar.com/prod...93653/Paired with the K&N Typhoon Air Intake. Im thinking that the forced air into the engine area will give tons more air to the intake.My only question is that the hood comes in red. Can a GM certified painter paint it to match my car color?

Their website says "Each hood is shipped gelcoat gray, ready for prep and paint", since every car has a paint code, Any body shop can paint it from there, just don't go to Maaco, that is unless you really love the look of orange peel.

The RK sport hood won't fit the 09-10 vibes. I am unsure if anyone is making anything aftermarket in the way of hoods or body kits for the 09-10 vibes yet.Aron

Audiovibe, I mean no disrespect but are you sure the hood wont fit because it says its specifically for the 09Vibe on the website? One other thing im gonna do with the car...90 degree lambo doors.Its something ive always wanted to do.Im just trying to get a plan together because tax season is upon us and I typically get 3k back each year.

I too question the site about the RK sport hood simply because they have pictured a 2003-2007 and older Vibe hood. The 2009-2010 Vibe is quite different. Contacting the online store will of course be the only way to truly answer this question.

I just called RKsport and they said the website hadnt been updated but that it will definitely fit. I may research it a bit more and then purchase in a week or 2 along with the door kit.

Sorry, I would greatly question it fitting onto the 09/10+ Vibe. the hoods and front bumpers are completely different. I'd ask them for pictures of a new Vibe with the hood. Chances are, they don't have one. The R&D for the Vibe is pretty small, so very little aftermarket support out there. As someone who long ago got scammed on a hood, I would be extremely hesitant to pick up one of these if it's not been fitted to your specific year Vibe. but it's ultimately your money, so do what you will.

bigdaddyjosh No disrespect taken, i checked the RKSport website just before I posted, I just would hate to see someone spend all that money and have it be for the wrong car. I agree with Hope on this and would wait for a pic to confirm fitment as you will be in the 700-750 range shipped on that hood. If they do have one that will fit it would look sweet on the 09.Aron

It would be interesting if that hood fits an '09...it definitely fit my '06...that's all I know And yes, it comes in the grey gelcoat, not red, although I ordered mine direct from RK Sport. Looks like the pic is the same from the RK site. You can see the before pics in my garage.

They may have found a way to make Shape Shifting Fiberglass. That RKSport Hood will even fit a 2011 Vibe(hey, it's on their site).
