Side Tail lights not working?

Post by dragon4d »

I have a 07 stock vibe and about 6 months ago my uncle told me only the middle break light was working and both the left and right side rear break lights were not working. The next day I went and checked the break lights and all of them (all 3 break lights) were working. The other day a motorist stopped me and told me the same thing, only your middle break light is working. Nothing has been modified with this vibe and these are still the original light bulbs in the rear of this car. Any Ideas on what I should look at to correct this problem? Thanks in Advance.Tim H.Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sounds like a loose connection... but I'd change the bulbs anyways!

Yeah def go with the bulbs first bc chances are the filiaments are broke, but still close enough to make a connection from time to time.

Pretty strange that both brake lights failed nearly at the same time... but I guess it could happen. Back you car up within a short distance from a garage door or other bright object and try your brakes several times the see if the lights come on each and every time that the pedal is pushed.Hopefully it's something simple like the bulbs.
