Molding Delete Mod?

Post by 06pvibe »

This is a common thing for the Mazda3 community and I did it to mine after 2yrs of ownership. The car looks so much better w/o it.I was thinking about that for the Vibe too. Has anyone done it here? Is it considered "common" in the Vibe community?

Body side molding or cladding? If it's just the body side molding the front strip (I believe, but it may be vice versa) is held on by tape but there are holes in the door for clips that hold the rear on. You'll have to do some filling and painting. Cladding removal is entirely out of the question...

The side molding, not the cladding.I figured it is held on with just tape.

it's been proven that it's pinned on with clips. Unless you can fill them and repaint the doors it's a no go.

Oh d*mn. That's too bad. I think the Vibe would look much cleaner (like the Mazdas do) w/o it. In fact Mazda finally caught on. The 2010 models don't have it so there is nothing to remove. BTW: I love your sig picture. Its so quirky looking and hard to miss too. But I am not familiar w/Britteny Rescue.

Just to bring attention to one of the rescue groups I help out. it's my subtle way to point out even unwanted dogs need a second chance at a happy home.Nbran.org is the other one I help out.
