2009 Vibe Curb Weight (and horsepower and torque)

Post by Kincaid »

Was doing some research and thought this might be good info to post in case someone was searching.Base Front-wheel Drive Hatchback (1.8L)Horsepower:132 @ 6,000 rpm Torque:128 @ 4,400 rpm Transmission:5-spd man w/OD Curb Weight:2,856 lbs.Base Front-wheel Drive Hatchback (2.4L)Horsepower:158 @ 6,000 rpm Torque:162 @ 4,000 rpm Transmission:5-spd man w/OD Curb Weight:2,856 lbs.Base All-wheel Drive Hatchback (2.4L)Horsepower:158 @ 6,000 rpm Torque:162 @ 4,000 rpm Transmission:4-spd auto Curb Weight:3,284 lbs.GT Front-wheel Drive Hatchback (2.4L)Horsepower:158 @ 6,000 rpm Torque:162 @ 4,000 rpm Transmission:5-spd man w/OD Curb Weight:3,075 lbs.I was checking for the curb weight to compare to the 1st gen model, to get a better sense of what using 1st gen lowering springs might do.FWIW, I found various curb weights for the 03-08 models, as follows:2700 lbs. for what I think must be the base model with manual trans3065 lbs. for a base with auto3085 lbs. for a manual GT3160 lbs. for an auto GT2976 lbs. for an AWD3295 lbs. also for an AWD, so not sure where the discrepency lies.Anyway, it seems like they use the same spring no matter what version of the 1st gen model, which amounts to a 460 lbs swing from lightest to heaviest (I threw out the 3295 lb number as an outlier). My 2009 base 2.4L with the manual is about 2856 lbs, so I don't think my drop will be much more than a 1st gen if I end up using the same springs.
