I am the proud owner of a blue 07' vibe. She's got 28000 miles on her and power nothing! LOL! Wondering if I were to get her a cold air kit would it make a difference other then on paper? Next... Is there really a difference between them? They all look pretty much the same. I had a k&n kit on my truck and liked it. Funds are low due to my marital situation... So I really can't afford to really get in to deep. But a little ump would be nice. I have considerred flames or possibly stripes but from what I've seen, they really attract alot of attention! I am more of a sleeper. LOL! Dropping the muffler? Once again... loud = fast but I prefer to travel incogneto, more of the stealthy type. Have a good one! Clint
Welcome! on the power nothing!http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=24144 for a good writeup on some decent modsHere at GenVibe, we're a big fan of pics! Lots of pics!!! (Pitchforks and torches my be used, so hurry before the angry mob arrives. lol)
hey great car!! congratulations! ahhh I think the cold air intake isn't gonna do too much for ya.. Id skip it. unfortunately there's not a lot of easy ways to get more power out of that engine. but there are some nice suspension upgrades you could do..and tires to improve handling.flames on a vibe would definitely look cool. I have some pin stripes on mine.
Welcome :-)Quote, originally posted by skywalker » She's got power nothing! nice, I have the power package, but I imagine "no power" has to make the car lighter, and would be just as happy without it.

Great find with only 28,000 miles. Congrats! Your Vibe is just breaking in. One small thing though, if you have 'power nothing', then how did it get all the way to 28,000 miles? An air intake would give your engine (if you actually have one in there somewhere) a little more power. How's your current air filter doing... might take a look to make sure it's not dirty or clogged. Check the spark plug gaps and condition. I put a set of NGK Iridiums in a 70,000 mile Honda 1.6L and it made a big difference. Smoothed out a shaky idle and added a lot more umph on the cheap. You should post some pictures of the car. Not that we are that impatient, but we are very impatient when it comes to pictures of a new car. Also add some info, like Auto or Manual... stuff like that. And did we mention that you need to post some pictures?

Thanks for the warm welcome all! Didn't really expect it! I have been sick for the last couple days and it sucks! My Vibe is the Mettalic Blue model, outfitted with a sweet 5 speed and and the wicked black interior! I was looking at a really cool add on today... CRUISE CONTROL! Doesn't look super hard to install but I would really hate getting hit by an airbag during install. So I may have to track down a local installer for that. If its nice out and I get feeling a bit better I will get this sweet blue diamond a bath and get some pics of her in the buff! LOL! Thanks again, everyone for the warm welcome! Any members in the tuscaloosa- birmingham area?
Hey, welcome. I think there might be a thread on here somewhere about adding cruise control. I'll see if I can find it.Here's a couple that talks about just needing to add the cruise control stal for an '07: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=33221http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=19820 Doesn't sound like it would cost too much cause I think the wiring is already there.
